City commences with roadworks in Maitland and Ndabeni Industrial

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate hereby advises residents, road users and businesses of the resurfacing roadworks along  Bax Street; Product Street; Ndabeni Street; Mcgregor Street; Patton Street; Royal Road; Oxford Street and Rusper Street in Maitland as well as Old Mill Road in Ndabeni Industrial and Annex Road in Maitland Garden Village. The work commenced today, 16 January 2025 and if all goes according to plan should be complete by Wednesday, 26 February 2025.

Work will take place between 09:00 and 15:30 from Monday to Saturday, weather permitting.

‘Soon residents and businesses in the Maitland and Ndabeni area will benefit from newly resurfaced roads which will provide improved road safety conditions and riding quality and will prolong the longevity of the road network in the area overall,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
The City of Cape Town recommends that road users be cautious while work is underway and to be vigilant in and around the roadworks area by looking out for uneven road surfaces and being mindful of the construction workers.
